Chinese diplomat in Japan suspected of spying

TOKYO, May 29, Kyodo

Japanese police submitted a request to the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo in mid-May for one of its diplomats to report for questioning, suspecting spying and other unlawful activities, but the request was rejected and the diplomat has left Japan, investigative sources said Tuesday.
