52% say no need to hold vote on tax hike bill in current Diet session

The proportion of Japanese voters who do not see the need for lawmakers to hold a vote on the consumption tax hike plan during the current Diet session, as sought by the government, stands at 52.1 percent, against 43.1 percent who favor the time frame, a weekend poll by Kyodo News showed Sunday.
